Long Live the Queen
A skill-management visual novel. You play Princess Elodie, a 14-year-old fantasy princess whose mom just died. It's up to you to prepare her in the weeks leading up to her coronation, by choosing what she does and learns. There are two things you control - what activities she does in her free time, which effects her Mood, and choosing what lessons she takes each week. Penalties or Bonuses apply to certain subjects depending on what Mood Elodie is in, and the lessons essentially raise specific skills. The story progresses and allows you to make choices and branches, but depending on how high or low certain skills are, some choices or even full story branches may be unavailable. Also, if you haven't picked the right skills, Elodie may die. A lot. The game is known for being surprisingly brutal for the type of game it is, but with great story, and a lot of fun and interesting ways you can take her. How will Elodie fare under your hands? Will she become a kind and loving leader, a cruel tyrant, a magical girl? Or will she die from eating chocolate? You decide!

It's Mario for the gameboy. Jump those turtles. Wait, what the hell is this thing?

The Lords of Midnight
From what I can tell this is like a combination of Fire Emblem and Zork, where navigation takes place from a first-person view in a free-roaming world, but the player recruits and controls multiple characters who can come into individual contact with enemies and do battle. Also, it is for ZX Spectrum.

Sins of a Solar Empire
A 4X strategy game that runs at a blisteringly slow real-time crawl. Very friendly to "turtle" players, the emphasis is on long-term build up and distributed power rather than a race up a single tech tree.

Star Control 2
A game that combines elements of adventuring, role-playing, and space exploration. The player starts off in a ratty spaceship and uncovers the the storyline between upgrading the ship and exploring nearby galaxies. Combat is 2D, real-time and controls similar to Asteroid. Exploration involves conversation between multiple alien species and travel across numerous galaxies.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
The original DOOM-64-killer is now on PC and Nintendo 64!

Dark Souls for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3
Dark Souls is a 3rd person action RPG. This is a game that we can bring Daniel and my other friend Chris on board. I think Soup is a fan of this series too.

Shadow Complex
The game was available for free while we were all in the synctube. Not only that, it gives us a chance to commune a game from a unique genre that doesn't have metroid or castlevania in its name.

20XX
