Playing Oregon Trail (1975)
Posted: Wed Jul 16, 2014 4:37 amI was reading through The Digital Antiquarian's multi-part entry on Oregon Trail and found an entry detailing how to play the earliest existing version of Oregon Trail on an HP2000 emulator.
Original post is . When I went to try it, I wasn't able to connect to the telnet location, so I looked around and found the mentioned in the post which lists an updated server. Instructions to connect:
1. Open a command prompt (terminal for Mac Dorks)
2. Enter the command "Telnet mickey.publicvm.com" (Telnet may need to be enabled. [][])
3. Hit ctrl+j and ctrl+m until asked to login
4. Enter "Hel-t001,hp2000,1"
5. Menu appears allowing you to choose between Oregon Trail (1975), Oregon Trail (1978), and Hunt the Wumpus. Loads of fun for all.
