Shopkeepers in this game aren't assholes

For November 2012, we'll be playing Soul Blazer, the SNES classic developed by Quintet. (Not to be confused with Quartet for Master System.)

Shopkeepers in this game aren't assholes

A common complaint about RPGs is that it makes little sense that heroes trying to save the world have to pay the same prices at shops as everybody else. In this game though, when you save the shopkeepers' lives, they actually show a little thanks and give you herbs and goat food for free. Nice guys.

It's a nice gesture, I do like not having to deal with money. It feels like the game is trying to make a statement about mammon, right?
